Chef Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Chef, a recipe app developed and operated by Tahlia Labs Ltd., a company registered in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using Chef, you agree to these Terms and to Chef’s Privacy Policy.

1. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to use Chef lawfully and responsibly.

2. Your content

You retain ownership of recipes, images, notes, voice inputs, imported recipe information and other content you submit to Chef. By adding content to Chef, you confirm that you have the right to use that content in the way you use it.

You are responsible for content you upload, import, save, generate, edit or publish through Chef.

3. Imported recipes and third-party content

Chef may allow you to import or save recipe information from URLs or other sources. You should only import, store or use content where you have the right or permission to do so, or where your use is otherwise lawful.

Chef does not guarantee that imported content is accurate, complete, safe, available or free from third-party rights.

4. Community publishing

If you publish a recipe or other content to Chef’s Community area, you understand that it may be visible to other users. You should not publish content that you do not own, do not have permission to share, or that is unlawful, infringing, misleading, unsafe, harmful, abusive or otherwise inappropriate.

5. Content moderation

Chef may review, restrict, remove or disable access to content if we believe it may be infringing, unlawful, unsafe, misleading, harmful, abusive, inappropriate, or otherwise inconsistent with these Terms or the operation of the service.

6. Copyright and IP

You must not upload, import or publish content that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights. If you believe content on Chef infringes your rights, contact us using the Copyright / IP Complaints process.

7. AI assistant

Chef may include an AI cooking assistant. AI responses are for general cooking support only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your circumstances. You should independently check recipes, ingredients, allergens, cooking times, cooking temperatures and safe food handling requirements.

Chef’s AI assistant is not medical, nutritional, allergy, food safety, legal or other professional advice.

8. Food safety and allergens

You are responsible for checking ingredients, allergens, dietary suitability, cooking instructions, food storage, cooking temperatures and safe handling practices. Do not rely on Chef as your only source of safety, health, allergy or dietary information.

9. Prohibited use

You must not use Chef to upload, publish, generate or share unlawful, infringing, harmful, abusive, misleading, unsafe, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, exploitative, spammy or malicious content, or to interfere with the operation or security of the app.

10. Account deletion and termination

You may delete or request deletion of your account. Chef may suspend or terminate access where necessary to protect users, comply with law, enforce these Terms, respond to abuse, or protect the service.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this site with a “Last updated” date.
